The original fourth day of the Elvish week, Aldúya was a day dedicated to the memory of the Two Trees of Valinor. Aldúya was the Quenya name for this day, with the Sindarin equivalent being Orgaladhad. When the Númenóreans adopted the pattern of the Elves' week, they modified this day-name slightly, by changing it to Aldëa (SindarinOrgaladh) and thus dedicating it specifically to Telperion, the White Tree that they held in special honour.
