Last Shore

The coastlands of Eldamar

"Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling,
Sweet are the voices in the Lost Isle calling...
"
From the song of Legolas
The Return of the King VI 4
The Field of Cormallen

Legolas' name for the shores of the Blessed Realm beyond the Great Sea, and especially those of Tol Eressëa, the Lonely Isle of the Elves in the West, to which he dreamt of one day sailing. Eventually he achieved the passage of the Sea (accompanied, according to some accounts, by his friend Gimli); in the year IV 120 he set out from Middle-earth and found his way to the Last Shore of Elvenhome.
