Mountain-trolls

Trolls from the highland regions of Middle-earth

Apparently Trolls that lived in the mountains of Middle-earth. It was creatures of this kind that wielded the great battering-ram, Grond, at the Battle of the Pelennor.

As with many other types of Trolls, there's very little information specific to the kind known as 'Mountain-trolls'. In fact, they're only mentioned for their small part in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, and never referred to again.
