Onefoot

Sador, the lame woodman of Dor-lómin

A title given to himself by Sador, a servant of the household of Húrin Thalion of Dor-lómin. In his youth, due to a mishap while chopping wood in the forest, he had lost his right foot, but he continued to serve as a woodsman and carpenter in the household of Húrin. He was a childhood friend of Túrin, who called him Ladabal or 'Hopafoot'.

After the departure of Túrin from Dor-lómin Sador remained there, surviving the invasion of the Easterlings that followed the Nirnaeth. When Túrin returned into the north long afterwards, he found Sador Onefoot at the house of Brodda the Easterling, and from him Túrin had news of his mother Morwen and his sister Niënor. Roused to anger, Túrin slew Brodda, and in the fighting that followed Sador Onefoot was mortally wounded.
