The hill of Amon Rûdh, that stood above the plainlands south of the Forest of Brethil. It was so named because its peak rose up in bare rock, except for the growth of red seregon there. The hill was originally a settlement of the Petty-dwarves (who called it Sharbhund), and latterly home to Túrin and his outlaw band.
