The eighth child of Samwise Gamgee and Rose Cotton, and the fourth daughter after Elanor, Rose and Goldilocks. Like many Hobbit children, including several of her sisters, Daisy was named for a flower, but her name was also doubtless inspired an elder Daisy, Sam's sister and therefore the younger Daisy's aunt. Sam's daughter Daisy was born in the twelfth year of the Fourth Age, as the first of her father's many terms as Mayor of the Shire was reaching its end. Like all the children of Sam and Rose she would have been raised at Bag End, though of her later life we have no details of any kind.
