The valleys eastward of Edoras

Map of the East Dales of Rohan
The East Dales of Rohan (slightly conjectural)
The East Dales of Rohan (slightly conjectural)

The dales and valleys of the White Mountains that ran down into the plain of Rohan, but only those that lay eastward of Edoras. Strictly the East Dales (better known by the name 'Eastfold') ran between Folde and Fenmarch, a stretch of rugged land some sixty miles from end to end. The Great West Road into Gondor passed through the East Dales, along the northern edge of the White Mountains.
