Land of Willows

The willow-woods of Nan-tathren

Map of the Land of Willows

Some miles to the north of the Mouths of Sirion, that river's waters were swelled by its joining with the Narog. Where the two rivers met, a flowered land lay, filled with willow trees that ran along the river-banks. This was Nan-tathren, the Land of Willows that was famed as one of Middle-earth's most beautiful places.
