The Rings of Power were forged between c. II 1500 and c. II 1600; the Nazgûl, servants of the Nine Rings, first emerged c. II 2250 and went into hiding II 3441; they reappeared in Middle-earth c. III 1300 and were finally destroyed in III 3019
