Kings of Gondor

Telemnar's Kingship was one of Gondor's shortest and most tragic. He succeeded to the throne after his father Minardil was brutally slain in a sudden Corsair attack on Pelargir, but he was not to reign for long. After just two years on the throne, the Great Plague came out of the east and ravaged Gondor. Telemnar and all his children died of the sickness; he was succeeded by his nephew, Tarondor.

Notes

1

The date of Telemnar's birth appears only in The History of Middle-earth volume XII, The Peoples of Middle-earth. It cannot therefore be considered completely reliable.
