Dor DaedelothThe land of MorgothThe region surrounding Morgoth's mighty fortress of Angband among the Iron Mountains, a land of such abhorrence that its name translates into English as 'Land of the Shadow of Dread'. It was on the borders of Dor Daedeloth that Fëanor was mortally wounded by Balrogs and, soon afterward, his son Maedhros was captured by Morgoth's servants.
