A title or surname occasionally used of Legolas, prince of the Woodland Realm. It derives in fact directly from Legolas, and is simply a translation of that Elvish name (so those characters who use the full form 'Legolas Greenleaf' are merely naming Legolas twice in different languages). There does not appear to be any particular significance of the name, beyond the obvious connection to the trees of Northern Mirkwood where Legolas' father Thranduil ruled.
