The daughter of Hugo Boffin and Donnamira Took, who was in turn one of the Old Took's three famous daughters. Jessamine married Herugar Bolger, and had one son, named Odovacar. Through Odovacar, Jessamine was the ancestor of Fredegar Bolger, and also of Estella Bolger who would become Meriadoc Brandybuck's bride. Like many female Hobbits, Jessamine had a flower name, actually a derivative of jasmine.
