The domain of King Golfimbul of the Goblins, who in III 2747 led a band of his people into the Northfarthing of the Shire. There they were met by Bandobras Took, who soundly defeated them and slew Golfimbul with a club. The precise location of Mount Gram is not identified, but the fact that its Goblins chose to raid the Shire probably places it in the northern reaches of the Misty Mountains or the nearby Grey Mountains (or just possibly among the Weather Hills or the North Downs, though neither of these ranges contained any mountains as such).
The name 'Gram' derives from Old Norse, meaning something like 'fierce king' or 'furious warrior', which may be a reference to Golfimbul himself. The name was shared by the eighth King of Rohan, perhaps with a similar meaning.
