A member of the Bolger family of Budgeford in the Shire. He wedded Salvia Brandybuck, a granddaughter of Gormadoc Deepdelver, the Master of Buckland who expanded Brandy Hall. Gundabald and Salvia had a son, Theobald, and through him a grandson, Wilibald. Wilibald married Prisca Baggins, and so he makes an appearance on the Baggins family tree in Appendix C to The Lord of the Rings.
