The 'Bow and Helm' of the title refers to the land's Two Captains: Beleg Strongbow (who carried the great bow Belthronding) and Túrin Turambar (bearer of the Dragon-helm of Dor-lómin)

The land of the Two Captains

The short-lived land to the south of Brethil, whose Men were commanded by Túrin Turambar and Beleg Strongbow. Known in Elvish as Dor-Cúarthol.
